Trigger Point Dry Needling

WHAT IS DRY NEEDLING?

The Neurologic Dry Needling practice systemically targets peripheral neurogenic sensitivity to reduce neurologic burdens, optimize neurologic capability, improve neuro-immune function, and maximize systemic homeostasis to achieve the best clinical results.  It is most relevant for treatment of soft tissue pain and dysfunction.

Multiple models of Dry Needling are currently in-practice.  Although these models are not in conflict with each other physiologically, each is distinct in its underlying concepts, applications and techniques.  The Neurologic Dry Needling integrates multiple, previously disjoint models into a cohesive, science-based framework.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

  • Use of peripheral nervous system as a guide for evaluating, treating, rehabilitating and preventing soft tissue pain and dysfunction

  • Use of revolutionary techniques like transition from needling the points to needling the nervous system

  • Simultaneous restoration of physiological and biomechanical homeostasis

  • Integration of different dry needling models, including nerve block approach

  • Utilization of varying mechanisms from microcirculation to neurochemistry

  • Individualized Standard Systemic Treatment Protocol, tailored to fit each patient

  • Evaluation of peripheral neurosensitization for prognosis of treatment for pain patients

WHO NEEDS DRY NEEDLING THERAPY

  • Sufferers of soft tissue pain/dysfunction, both chronic and acute

  • Workers in professions requiring repetitive muscular actions; for prophylaxis and treatment

  • Patients who are unable to tolerate side-effects of conventional treatments
